The McCutcheon Boys' Cross Country team had an historic weekend, winning their first ever NCC Championship, and their first boys' cross country conference championship since 1980. The boys team placed 5 runners in the top ten and won the meet over runner-up Harrison by 60 points. Junior WIll Persin claimed the individual NCC Championship running a time of16:03 over the 5 kilometer course. Will was joined in the top ten by senior Cody Cornell and juniors Caleb Whitlock, Jake Ruble, and Dylan Linder, all of whom were also named to the NCC All-Conference team.
The junior varsity had an outstanding day as well, with senior Travis Lineback, sophomores Evan Burge and Kaiden Jordan, and freshman Gavin Ford outrunning the rest of the field taking the top four spots with Travis Lineback taking the individual win. In all, 15 runners ran personal records on Saturday.
