Behind the strong pitching of Cason Trader, the Mavs held Hamilton Heights scoreless Thursday night. Trader pitched five innings, allowing just two hits while striking out 10 and issuing no walks en route to his second victory of the season. The offensive attack was led by Sammy Swank, who collected three hits. Swank also drove in three runs and scored three times. Zayne Newgent added a double and a triple while scoring three runs as well. The Mavs return to action Saturday at home for a doubleheader against Logansport. Saturday will also serve as Senior Day, as the Class of 2026 will be honored between games.
