Greencastle used a run in the bottom of the first and two insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth to claim victory Tuesday night over the Mavs. Sophomores Landon Taylor and Kasen Koch kept the Mavs within striking distance on the mound, combining for six innings, allowing five hits, striking out eight, and issuing two walks. The Mavs left ten runners stranded, including seven in scoring position. The Mavs begin sectional play Saturday at Loeb Stadium, where they will face the Kokomo Wildkats at 2:00 p.m.
