Former Mav teammates Sage Adams ('24) and Logan Marsell ('24) are set to face each other Tuesday night at Loeb Stadium in Prospect League action. Adams plays for the hometown Lafayette Aviators, who enter the game with a 17-11 record. The catcher recently completed his sophomore season at Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida, and is hitting .240 this summer with four doubles and 12 RBIs. Marsell comes to Lafayette with the Quincy (IL) Doggy Paddlers, who enter the game at 17-12. The right-handed outfielder recently completed his sophomore season at Wabash Valley College in Mount Carmel, Illinois, and is hitting .278 this summer with six RBIs and nine runs scored. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The Prospect League is a collegiate summer league featuring 20 teams across Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania. The 56-game regular season runs from late May through early August.
