The Mavs closed out their final NCC season with a 12-0 victory over Lafayette Jefferson on sun-splashed Tuesday night at Loeb Stadium. A nine run top of the second inning gave the Mavs all the cushion they would need. Fourteen Mavs went to the plate in the inning. Riley Sands, Jake Winger, Jonathan Riley, Aiden Riser, and Broderick Arnold all added RBI singles while Sage Adams had a RBI double. Sands and Winger both finished with two hits and three RBI. Adams and Logan Marsell finshed with two runs a piece. Riser had two hits while Riley finished with two RBI. Owen Smith (4-0) was efficient on the mound needing just forty seven pitches to work 4.1 innings where he gave up only two hits while striking out 4. Aiden Earley recorded the final two outs in the contest. The Mavs return to play at home on Thursday as they host the Carmel Greyhounds for a 6:00 pm start.
