The Mavs (3-5) scored in every inning on their way to a win Saturday afternoon in Rossville. After scoring single runs in the first three innings, the Mavs broke open the game with a four run fourth. Brennan Johnson started the inning with a bunt single and scored after Jake Winger homered to left field. Jonathan Riley then reached on an error and Mekyel Almond singled to left setting up Rhett Clarkson who drove in both with a single to right to complete the scoring in the inning. Winger finished with four hits, four runs and four RBI while Almond had three hits and three RBI highlighted by a homer to left. Johnson and Jackson Lancaster each added two hits. Aiden Riser picked up the win going four innings allowing no runs while striking out six with one walk. The Mavs travel to Kokomo on Tuesday night for a 6:00 pm first pitch.
