A late rally was not enough Tuesday night at Kokomo Municipal Stadium as the Mavs (3-6) fell 3-2. Kokomo struck first in the bottom of the third with a two-out RBI double to right. The Mavs immediately tied up the game in the top of the fourth with a Rhett Clarkson two-out RBI single to center. Kokomo grabbed the lead for good in the bottom of the fifth after a walk and two singles plated two runs. The first two hitters reached base in the top of the seventh but the Mavs were only able to score one run while ending the game with the bases loaded. The Mavs return to action Thursday as they travel to North Central for a 6:00 pm first pitch.
